The Burke Museum is coming back!

 

The Burke Museum of Natural History and Cultural will make its second visit of the summer to our libraries, this time bringing its Living Traditions program.

The program brings Burke educators and real museum pieces to engage people of all ages with cultural objects to learn about traditions still practiced by contemporary Native Americans of the Pacific Northwest. See how cultural practices can grow and change over time from generation to generation, and learn about the diverse native cultures of Washington state in this free program.

The program is coming to the following libraries:

 

  • Brewster: 4 p.m. Aug. 6
  • Coulee City: 3 p.m. Aug. 5
  • Grand Coulee: 11 a.m. Aug. 5.
  • Okanogan: 3 p.m. Aug. 7
  • Omak: 1 p.m. Aug. 8
  • Oroville: 11 a.m. Aug. 9
  • Republic: 3 p.m. Aug. 9
  • Soap Lake: 11 a.m. Aug. 6
  • Tonasket: 4 p.m. Aug. 8
  • Twisp: 11:30 a.m. Aug. 7
